Sonshine PreSchool is divided into five age-specific departments: Nursery, Toddlers, Twos, Threes and Fours. We have 16 dedicated teachers and 3 administrators who provide support for all our areas, including a dedicated PE teacher and physical education twice daily utilizing our fabulous playground. Our curriculum is Bible-centered and rich with daily-life applications.
Nursery
Our Nursery department has their own secure classroom area that includes a dedicated playroom for large motor skills development. On any given day, you’ll see our nursery children riding around the facilities in the “bye-bye buggies.” To learn more about our Nursery department, follow this link.
Toddlers
The Toddler department has recently updated facilities that include new HVAC, lighting, paint and bulletin boards. They also have their own restroom area to facilitate potty training. This department has a dedicated time for physical activities. To learn more about the Toddler department, follow this link.
Twos
Welcome to the Twos and high drama. These awesome teachers illustrate their daily Bible lessons with student-oriented drama. It’s no surprise to see these kids dressed like their favorite Bible character running around spouting Bible verses. This is most definitely a fun class. Threes
The Threes department is intentionally hands-on with their educational approach. The students paint on a daily basis and are involved in all manner of tactile experiences. For instance, instead of a paint brush, they may use a fly swatter or a corn cob. This is a very creative classroom. To learn more about the Threes department, follow this link.
Fours
The Fours class focuses on pre-reading skills by highlighting a new letter each week. They’ll have letter lunches where each food item begins with the letter of the week (e.g. kolaches, kabobs, kiwis and key lime pie). They also visit the Mahon public library every month for story time. To learn more about the Fabulous Fours department, follow this link.
